Invite your accountant

Give your accountant read-only access by inviting them from the Team page with the External Accountant role. They can view invoices, do reconciliation, and export data, but cannot edit your invoices or change settings. They do not count toward your team-member cap.

Your accountant can have their own access to view your invoices and do the reconciliation, without being able to change your data.

Steps

  1. Open Team and go to the Invite tab.
  2. Enter your accountant's email address.
  3. Choose the External Accountant role.
  4. Send the invite. They accept the link and get read-only access.

What your accountant can and cannot do

  • Can: view invoices, view bank accounts and statements, do reconciliation, and export data and files.
  • Cannot: edit invoices, upload invoices, manage connections, manage the team, or change billing.

External accountants do not count toward your plan's team-member cap.

Already work with an accounting firm?

If your accounting firm uses Invoflux and adds your company to their portal, the connection shows under Settings > Accountant Access, where you can see and control it.

Result

Your accountant works from live, accurate data, and you keep full control of changes.

Troubleshooting

  • They need to make changes. External Accountant is read-only by design. If they truly need to edit, invite them as a team member with a suitable role instead. See Invite a team member.
  • They cannot find a feature. Some actions are hidden for read-only access on purpose.
