Invite a team member

Invite colleagues from the Team page and give them a role that controls what they can see and do. Roles range from Admin (full operations) to Team (Limited) (their own invoices only). Invites are sent by email.

You can bring colleagues into your workspace and control what each can do with a role. Invites are sent by email, and the person joins by accepting the link.

Steps

  1. Open Team from the sidebar and go to the Invite tab.
  2. Enter the person's email address.
  3. Choose a role (see below).
  4. Send the invite. They receive an email and join by accepting it.

Roles

  • Owner - full control, including billing and creating or deleting companies.
  • Admin - full day-to-day operations and team management, but not billing.
  • Team (Finance) - full access to invoices and reconciliation, no team or billing management.
  • Team (Limited) - only their own or assigned invoices, and can upload invoices.
  • External Accountant - read-only access for your accountant (covered separately).

Give people the least access they need. Only owners manage billing, and only owners and admins can invite others.

Result

The new member appears in your Team list and can sign in with the access their role allows.

Troubleshooting

  • They did not get the invite. Ask them to check spam, confirm the address, and resend if needed.
  • I need to change what they can do. Update their role from the Team list.
  • I want to add my external accountant. Use the External Accountant role, which is read-only. See Invite your accountant.
  • I cannot add another member. You may have reached your plan's team-member cap. See Plans and what counts toward your limits.
